The community outreach program works with our school social worker and counselors to offer support for Cheatham Hill families in need. Volunteers help promote and carry out our CHES outreach efforts.
Our family engagement committee hosts several events throughout the school year for PTA members and their families. They work to bring community to our school by having fun together, including movie nights, bingo, author readings and more!
It's so important to celebrate our final days at Cheatham Hill Elementary. The PTA, along with our 5th grade parents, work to create a memorable experience as our champions complete their time at elementary school and prepare for their next educational journey.
The holiday shop is a time for the students to purchase gifts for friends and family at reasonable prices. Students learn to shop on a budget and choose from a large array of products. Volunteers help with planning, set up and publicity of event.
We could not be champions without the support of our teachers and staff! PTA provides lunch and snacks to the support staff of Cheatham Hill Elementary School (Teachers, Office staff, Cafeteria Staff, Custodians and Bus Drivers) several times throughout the school year. Volunteers purchase or make items for these select days and also help with serving and cleanup.
International night is when we showcase our CHES students' own heritage and celebrate our school community! It is always a fun filled night with entertainment and food tastings from around the world. Volunteers help with planning and publicity of the event.
This committee is the base of our fundraising for the year. Our membership committee promotes PTA at Sneak-A- Peek and Open House, keeps accurate records of our members, and maintains our membership and spirit wear website, Memberhub.

Rocket Readers is a monthly reading program that encourages students to read more and rewards them for doing so, which in turn instills a love of reading. Volunteers process completed “mission cards” monthly and help with the end of year awards reception.
Room parents support our CHES teachers with classroom events , copying needs, decorating and teacher appreciation activities.

School Store sells school supplies and trinkets on select Friday mornings before school. School Store is an opportunity for the students to learn the value of a dollar. Volunteers keep inventory, order supplies, and run the store.
The Spirit Nights Chair works with our partners in education to hold special CHES nights at their venue. Partners provide a space for community fun and give a portion of the proceeds back to CHES.
The Spirit Wear Chair works with Executive Board on planning, ordering, advertising, selling, and keeping inventory of CHES Spirit Wear. The Chair also helps plan selling at the Sneak-a-Peek, Open House and periodically throughout the year.
A family event with inflatables, interactive games, prizes, food trucks and more! The committee does planning, publicity, ticket sales, decorating, and volunteer recruitment.
Turkey Trot is a free event for our families. It is a run/jog/walk event held on a Saturday that promotes health and fitness in our community. Volunteers help with planning and promoting the event.
Volunteers help maintain the website and develop promotional flyers for events.
Design yearbook layouts, encourage families to submit pictures, and send out reminders for purchase.
There is no better way to know what’s happening in your school; create closer relationships with our principals, teachers, and staff.
PTA functions are opportunities to meet and get to know other parents and teachers, build rapport and discuss issues on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.
By volunteering with your PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a great cause—your child and all the children in the community
Being an active member of the PTA is a great a way to effectively create positive change at CHES.
By becoming a PTA member, you demonstrate the importance you place on education to your child.
